We’re looking for a new team member to join our friendly, supportive, and creative Stirling CIAG team on a full-time, fixed term basis until April 2027.
Stirling is a vast geographical area which offers both city and rural living, offering many cultural and historical experiences. Our CIAG team have the privilege of being able to support and work with people with wide ranging aspirations and goals ranging from careers in Sciences to Sport & Leisure and much more. It is an easy commute to Glasgow and Edinburgh and is of course the gateway to the highlands.
Our team go above and beyond to support each other, working in mini teams to support school and post school customers.

About the You and the Role
To be eligible for the role of Careers Adviser at Skills Development Scotland, you must hold the Career Development Institute (CDI) UK recognised professional accredited Qualification in Career Development (QCD or its predecessor equivalent) and the Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. These qualifications are essential requirements for the role and applications cannot be progressed without them.
In your role as Careers Adviser, you’ll be delivering impartial career guidance, developing career management skills and supporting individuals to plan and manage their career decisions, now and in the future, including services which respond to those facing redundancy.
You’ll be able to demonstrate strong interview, group work and coaching skills with a sound knowledge and understanding of policy, theory and practice in the field of career guidance and you will work with and through a range of partner agencies to engage, inspire, motivate and encourage clients to achieve their full potential.

Where you’d be based
This role will be located in Stirling, although there will be some travel due to the nature of the role and the geography of the Stirling Local Authority area. Happy to discuss this with candidates at Interview.
