We are recruiting a Permanent full time Cloud Analyst (Engineer)
About the You and the Role
As an Azure subject matter expert, you’ll use your experience gained in a similar technical role to support SDS and our shared service partners with IT infrastructure enterprise technologies, including: Microsoft Windows based systems; Active Directory; Microsoft 365 and Azure Based Technologies; Network engineering; Firewalls and related security protocols; Virtualisation solutions; Secure information architecture; and Enterprise Patch Management; Web and Intranet applications.
The role has the unique responsibility to access, manage, update and change the Microsoft Azure infrastructure, working alongside the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) to proactively monitor the service being provided, dealing promptly to create solutions with any service issues to ensure end to end customer service meets in line with Service Level Agreements.
The postholder will also work as part of specific or integrated project teams to deliver the required partner portfolio workstreams and deliverables.
Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organisation's cloud computing infrastructure and applications, and implementing and designing hardware and software, the postholder will also monitor the performance of systems.

Where you’d be based
This role can be located at any of our SDS locations, although occasional travel to Glasgow offices will be required. SDS are working to a hybrid working model, therefore the successful applicant is expected to work from both home and an SDS workplace on a regular basis. Happy to discuss this with candidates at Interview.
