We are recruiting a permanent, full time, Development Manager.
About the Role and You
This is an opportunity to take forward work that contributes to SDS’s ambition to make skills work for employers. We’re looking for a talented Development Manager to join the Standards and Frameworks team in the National Training Programmes Directorate (NTP) to take forward important work to shape, develop and deliver the development of apprenticeships predominantly focused on the construction sector.
The post holder will be responsible for the development of Construction Apprenticeships, this includes industry engagement and relationship management, partnership development, quality assurance, and supplier management. These different strands need to be managed in a dynamic environment where the management of change and delivery of work are key features.
This role will work internally within SDS and externally with others to support the development of Apprenticeships within the construction sector and support activity in relation to the development of work-based learning pathways.
The success of the role relies on the post holder being able to build upon existing networks and create and manage external partner relationships across a national and international network of individuals and organisations.
You’ll understand the skills and education landscape in Scotland and have a working knowledge of the construction sector and its stakeholders.
You’ll bring to this work your experience of leading teams and collaboration within a dynamic and developmental environment. You will be able to demonstrate a track record in the application of adaptive practice and innovation to produce practical results.
