Our MyWoW Live CIAG team is looking for a new team member to join a friendly, supportive, and creative team.

This is a fixed term post until 31 March 2027 - we’d love for you to join us!

About the You and the Role

Are you passionate about helping young people discover their potential? Do you enjoy delivering engaging, hands-on learning that sparks curiosity and builds confidence? If so, this could be the role for you.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and confident communicator to join our MyWoW Live team and bring interactive career education to young people across Shetland and Orkney

Working with learners from P5 through to S6, you’ll lead the delivery of inspiring, carefully planned programmes that help young people develop essential career management skills, meta-skills, and a better understanding of the labour market. These sessions will be delivered in schools, online, and at public events — all designed to support young people in making informed and confident career choices.

You’ll be someone who enjoys groupwork, whether face-to-face or delivered virtually, and who understands the powerful role experiential career learning plays in shaping future pathways. You’ll thrive on working with both primary and secondary-aged pupils, bringing energy, motivation and encouragement to every interaction. You’ll also be confident building positive relationships with partners across education and within the STEM community.

As part of a small, dynamic team working across Scotland, you’ll deliver activities both in person, online and through events with a particular focus on the island communities of Shetland and Orkney. Travel to schools across these areas will be a regular part of your role, and your virtual sessions may reach learners across the country using platforms such as Teams and GLOW.

You’ll be supported by an experienced and passionate team as you build your knowledge of the MyWoW Live service and make a real impact in the lives of young people.

Come and make an impact you can be proud of!

The WOW Live initiative has delivered significant impact in Shetland. Your work will build on this within Orkney, anchoring youth engagement in STEM, supporting employer-led forums, and building community confidence in future-facing skills. This will align with the Island Growth Deals’ focus on Newton Rooms and Innovation Hubs, and ensure inclusive, future-ready programming that empowers young people and supports strategic workforce development across Scotland’s Island and rural communities.

Where you’d be based

This role will involve travel to Shetland and Orkney. The location is flexible but the postholder must be prepared to travel regularly to these locations. We will be happy to discuss this with candidates.
